Rise and shine!

We are all trying our hardest to get up and get moving this morning. We have a full day planned so we are excited to get started! We were supposed to go to West Ave Elementary School to read to some of the kids there, but Waco ISD didn't get to finish our background checks in time so sadly we can't go. However we do have an alternate plan! There is an organization that works with Mission Waco that help to build homes for some of the residents in this community. Today the kids will hear a little more about what they do as an organization, see one of the homes, and then will help clean up some trash and brush around some of the newly built homes. While some kids are doing that we will have other people passing out some flyers around the neighborhood to get the word out about some events that are happening in this area. It will be a good chance for all of us to walk around and see the conditions that some people are living and meet some people around here that either call one of the houses or the streets home. It's going to be a great day- I can feel it! Please continue to pray for us!
